Reckless Wheelchair Warranty

This warranty extends only to the original purchaser/user of our products.

Reckless Wheelchairs warrants its wheelchair frames to be free of defects in material and workmanship for a period of five (5) years.  Upholstery materials are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects for ninety (90) days, and all other parts are warranted for one (1) year.  Consumables, including, but not limited to, tires, tubes, casters, bearings are expressly excluded from these warranties.  Products obtained from separate manufacturers may have their own individual warranties; please check the manufacturer’s websites for details.  The warranty does not apply if the chair is subject to abuse, the chair is not maintained as recommended, or the chair is transferred to a person other than the original owner.

If within the applicable warranty period, any such product shall be proven to be defective, that product shall be repaired or replaced, at Reckless Wheelchairs’ option.  The warranty does not include shipping charges incurred in returning the wheelchair to Reckless Wheelchairs for repair.  Reckless Wheelchairs’ sole obligation, and original purchaser/user’s exclusive remedy under this warranty shall be limited to such repair and/or replacement.  Unauthorized modifications and/or repairs (i.e., welding, bending, drilling, etc.) to the frame immediately void all warranties.

Except for those express warranties made herein, all other warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability and warranties of fitness for a particular use are excluded.  No warranties extend beyond the description above.  In no event shall damages for the breach of any express warranty include any consequential damages or exceed the cost of non-conforming goods sold.

We do not warrant damage from neglect, accident, misuse, or from improper installation or repair.  We do not warrant products modified without Reckless Wheelchairs’ express written consent.  We do not warrant damage from exceeding the weight limit of a wheelchair. 
Removing or altering the original chair serial number or tag voids the warranty.  This warranty applies in the USA only.  This warranty is not transferrable and only applies to the original purchaser/consumer.

For warranty service, contact Reckless Wheelchairs directly via the “Contact Us” form on the Reckless Wheelchairs website, or contact support@disabilitylab.com.  Please provide your name, address, date of purchase, and a detailed description of the defect including photographs.  Do not return the products without prior consent or Reckless Wheelchairs retains the right to refuse further service of the item.

LIMITATION AND EXCLUSIONS: Products subjected to negligence, accident, improper operation, maintenance or storage, commercial or institutional use, products modified without Reckless Wheelchairs’ express written consent, including, but not limited to, modification through the use of unauthorized parts or attachments, products damaged by reason of repairs made to any component without the specific consent of Reckless Wheelchairs, or to product damaged by circumstances beyond the control of Reckless Wheelchairs, may be excluded from this warranty, with the evaluation solely determined by Reckless Wheelchairs.  The warranty shall not apply to problems arising from normal use, wear and tear, or failure to adhere to these instructions or to instructions regarding proper maintenance of the product.
