Reckless Wheelchairs Manifesto
We were told to settle.
Settle for less movement, less choice, less voice.
Settle for systems that ignore us, designs that define us, and rules that box us in.
We were told to wait.
For approvals. For upgrades. For someone else to decide when and how we get to live fully.
We were told to be grateful.
For access that came too late. For dignity wrapped in red tape. For freedom with strings attached.
We said: ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
Reckless is more than a brand. It’s a belief.
That people with disabilities don’t need fixing. That independence isn’t granted, it’s claimed. That mobility is power, and power belongs to you.
We believe in rolling forward, even when the path wasn’t built for us. In questioning everything.
In designing life on our own terms.
What we do goes far beyond gear, it’s about self-respect. About saying “I deserve better” and backing it with action. About refusing to disappear, fade, or be told to sit still.
You don’t have to play small.
You don’t have to wait your turn. You don’t have to ask permission.
We’re Reckless.
And we believe that owning your movement is just the beginning.
